    Long time, no see…

Well, it’s been a while. Sorry about that—entirely my fault, as I’m not very good at keeping you all updated. Then again, I’ve spent most of probably the last fifteen months or so working on the longest book I’ve written to date—Love, Honour And Surrender (Club Aegis #9), which came in at a grand total of 128,809 words, which is more than double the length of some other books, and close to 25,000 words longer than the last book in the series. It’s currently up for preorder at the usual retailers, and will be delivered to an ereader near you on 25 June 2024 if you take advantage of that…

    Progress at last…

Soul Lost (Club Aegis #8) has finally gone to my editor. This one seems to have taken a long time to write—or rather, a long time to get ready for editing. The first draft was finished a while ago, but on reading it through, it did require a lot of TLC to make it fit for editing. The end result is that over 103,000 words were emailed to my lovely editor in the US at the weekend, and now she has the unenviable task of making sure it’s fit to be presented to you. And if you’ve been waiting for this book… I’m so sorry it’s taken so long to…

    When the characters take over…

A few days ago, Sasha’s Spirit (Spectrum Security Inc. #2) went to my editor. At this point, I’m supposed to be getting into writing my next Club Aegis book—Soul Lost—which is the 8th book in a planned series of nine. However… Sometimes, the characters take over. Sean and Nia, from Soul Lost, have gone into a bit of a sulk and won’t talk to me. I’m not entirely sure why, but Lucas—or as he prefers to be called, Brand—and Rachael have decided they’d quite like me to look at their story, for a while, at least. Their story is currently provisionally entitled Rachael’s Brand. Lucas is a more mature hero—something…

    Looking Forward to 2021

So, here we are at the end of a year that’s memorable for a whole host of wrong reasons. It’s been truly awful for so many, with so much heart-breaking news virtually every day. At this point in the year, it’s only natural that we look forward with hope to the coming year. It would be very easy to think “New year, new start”, but the reality is, we will still have bad news to deal with. However, there is a glimmer of hope, in that vaccines have been developed, and if not already approved for use, are in the process of being approved. In the meantime, stay safe and…

    Time for a change

Next week, on 8 September, Shattered Secrets (Club Aegis #7) goes live. It will be Free in Kindle Unlimited (KU), and the price of 99c/99p will continue for approximately one week. Back in March, I made a decision to reduce the price of my independently published books to 99c/99p, the same price as my shorter stories. However, all good things must come to an end, and the time has come to return those prices to a more realistic level, which I will be doing on or around 15 September. This price change will also include Shattered Secrets. In addition, I will not be renewing my books for KU. In practical terms,…

Available for pre-order: Shattered Secrets (Club Aegis #7)

The post title says it all – Shattered Secrets (Club Aegis #7) is finally available for pre-order. Once again, I can only apologise for taking so long – it’s all my fault. I had a couple of false starts with this one – I couldn’t decide which of two ways I should start it and ended up choosing the one that didn’t work. Then, when it was finished, I really wasn’t happy with it, so I had to make some substantial changes. If you do pre-order it – thank you so very much. The pre-order price is 99c/99p, so it’s an ideal opportunity to get a full-length novel at a…

    Plans for 2020 – v2

Well, here we are, almost at the end of the first quarter, and I don’t know about you, but I’d like a refund on this year. Or a reset. We are all faced with an unprecedented global situation, and my heart goes out to all those who are suffering, and all those who have lost loved ones. I wish I knew better words, but I’m not sure there are any. Stay at home, stay safe, be sensible. Respect the rules that have been put in place. Practise social distancing. We need everyone to do their best to beat this. We also need to show our appreciation and respect for the…

    Plans for 2020

Hello, and a slightly belated Happy New Year! I hope this year is a good one for you. I thought it might be a good idea to let you know what’s on the cards for the start of the new decade. Let me first start by sharing the news that I’m going part-time at the day job, so I have an extra full day for writing, which I hope will assist in making at least some of these plans come to fruition. Events: I’m attending one event as an author this year, and that’s Books On The Beach in Blackpool on 22 August 2020. To find out more, here’s the…

    Passion’s Last Promise – a male submissive

I’ve debated writing this post for a while, but observing apparent patterns of purchasing behaviour when it comes to the Club Aegis books, I decided to take the plunge and put fingers to keyboard now. First of all, let me say I am massively grateful to each and every reader who’s bought a book or chosen to read it through Kindle Unlimited – thank you so much. For anyone who doesn’t know, the Club Aegis of the series title is  a fictional BDSM club, where the members are current or former members of the British armed forces, or intelligence or emergency services. And in common with probably the majority of BDSM-related stories,…

    British English v American English

There’s a saying, attributed to various sources, that Britain and America are two countries divided by a common language. Regardless of the source, it’s certainly true that they’re divided by certain spellings! For those of you who’ve read one or more of my Club Aegis books and then gone on to read Charity’s Heart (Spectrum Security Inc. #1), you may have noticed that the Club Aegis books  are written in British English, but Charity’s Heart is written in American English, as will the books yet to be written in the series. You may be wondering why. I am more than happy to explain. The Club Aegis books feature predominantly British characters, usually in British locations which is…
