31 Dec 2016 – Further to the post below, and having had time to talk to friends and sleep on it, I’ve decided to bring forward my decision to go exclusively with Amazon, for the next three months at any rate. What happens after that depends on how successful the experiment is. If you’ve previously purchased my books from other retailers, thank you very much for your support – it is very much appreciated. However, my decision is based on an analysis of all the sales data in my possession. There was only one realistic conclusion, and that was to give Amazon exclusivity a try. And once again – if…

Season’s Greetings from England
So, it’s almost Christmas. The solstice has been and gone, signalling the start of winter (in spite of what the Met Office tells us about winter starting on 1 December!), and to get through the cold season, I focus on the fact that we’re heading for spring, and the days are getting longer. With a birthday in May, spring is definitely my season, and I can’t wait for longer days and warmer weather. Today, the weather app on my phone tells me it’s 9c outside at the moment – not that I’m venturing out to confirm that. That’s around 48f, if you don’t speak Celsius. It’s also grey, wet and…

OKRWA International Digital Awards
Oklahoma Romance Writers of America run the annual International Digital Awards contest, and they have just published the list of this years winners here. I am very proud to announce that two of my stories reached the finals. In the Erotic Short category, the second book in my Club Aegis series, A Wanting Heart, was awarded 4th place, and in the Contemporary Short category, Spent Love, came 2nd. This follows on from the 2nd place in the Erotic Novel category last year, for the first Club Aegis book, The Velvet Ribbon, which is now available FREE. I would like to thank the organisers of the contest, and also all the…

Club Aegis – the future
Passion’s Last Promise, the fourth book in the Club Aegis series, has now been published. I’m working on the fifth, which will bring together two people we met briefly in Passion’s Last Promise—Logan Simmonds and Lucy Winter. Not much potential for romance there, you might think, but when you have a woman with ambition and a man in need of a partner for an undercover investigation, anything can happen. You’ll be able to find out what does happen in Winter’s Fire. You may be wondering where we go from there. There’s a man who’s appeared in most of the books in the series, even if only by name, and that’s…

Boltcutters and BDSM…
Hot on the heels of Passion’s Last Promise, the latest addition to the Club Aegis series, I am happy to announce the release of Ask Me, a short read of just under 20k words. I wrote this story for a boxed set of BDSM-themed romances. Unfortunately, the set isn’t going to be published now, which is why it’s ready so quickly after the latest Club Aegis story. Elements of this story take their inspiration from my trip to the BDSM Writers Con in New York in 2015—the incident with the suitcase, for example. Yes, that happened to me—not once, but twice. With about 40 minutes until the car arrived to…

The publication date is 19 July 2016 – from now until 10 July, you can pre-order it for only 99c / 99p. On that date, it’ll go up to the normal price of $2.99 / £1.99. It’s currently available on Amazon and All Romance eBooks, with Kobo and iBooks to follow. You can also read the first chapter here.

Club Aegis Series Title and Numbers – information
Those of you who are really observant may have noticed that the images of book covers on this website and on the retailer websites have changed slightly. There is a reason for this. While there is a suggested reading order that may enhance your enjoyment of the series, there’s no real need to read the books in order, as they are all complete stories, with no cliffhangers. I took the decision to remove the sequential numbers from the Club Aegis books, because Amazon, through which a great many sales are made, doesn’t allow decimals in the numbering of books in a series. This being the case, A Wanting Heart hasn’t been…

Blogging and me
I thought I’d dust the cobwebs off and dip into the blogging corner of my website. I don’t visit here often, as you can probably tell from the lack of recent entries. Blogging and I are not comfortable bedfellows – we eye each other suspiciously from across the room, and don’t willingly get up close and personal with each other. From my point of view, blogging is a strange and alien creature, which I don’t know how to feed. No, that’s not quite true – I know the theory of how to feed blogging, but I don’t really have much to offer by way of tasty food. I spend my…

The book that turned me from a pantser to a plotter…
Passion’s Last Promise, the next book in my Club Aegis series, is finally in the hands of my wonderful editor. I am so relieved to be able to type that line. This story has been a long time in the writing – the first file I have for it goes back to September 2014. Between then and now, it’s undergone many changes – the main male character has had three different names, and I can’t even remember how many scenes have been added and then removed. Even the physical structure of the story has changed – until very recently, there was a prologue, but I decided that the content was best…

Club Aegis 2.5: A Wanting Heart – News
In the interests of making the Club Aegis series available in full to all my readers, I’m delighted to announce that a paperback version of A Wanting Heart will soon be available. It’s going through the proofing process now, and will hopefully be on Amazon and CreateSpace very soon.
