Club Latest

It struck me today that it was probably time I gave you an update on Club Aegis, and the latest book in the series.

The word count for Winter’s Fire is currently around 68k. I think the final word count will be around 90-95k, so still a way to go to finish the first draft. I now have a better handle on Logan and Lucy, so I’m going back over what I’ve already done.

Yes, I know – my writing method is stupidly inefficient, but that’s a work in progress too. Even though I have 6 books out already, I’m still honing my technique. I imagine I always will, because I find out about new productivity tools and try them out, and I’m learning more about story structure all the time.

So – Winter’s Fire. I don’t have a publication date yet, but you, my reader and friend, will get to meet another Royal Marine Commando who is a member of Aegis. Sean Malone came about when I saw a photo available for book covers, and I had to buy the rights for it. I had no story at the time, and even now, all I have is the start of one. I have no idea where it’s going. but Sean has a story that needs to be told, once he chooses to let me know what it is.

What I do know is the title of his story – Soul-Lost.  In the order of the stories, it’ll be after Sir Guy’s story, and Sir Guy’s story is the next one after Winter’s Fire.

And now it’s time for me to get back to the coal face and start hitting the word count! Bye for now!
