    Plans for 2020 – v2

Well, here we are, almost at the end of the first quarter, and I don’t know about you, but I’d like a refund on this year. Or a reset. We are all faced with an unprecedented global situation, and my heart goes out to all those who are suffering, and all those who have lost loved ones. I wish I knew better words, but I’m not sure there are any. Stay at home, stay safe, be sensible. Respect the rules that have been put in place. Practise social distancing. We need everyone to do their best to beat this. We also need to show our appreciation and respect for the…

    Plans for 2020

Hello, and a slightly belated Happy New Year! I hope this year is a good one for you. I thought it might be a good idea to let you know what’s on the cards for the start of the new decade. Let me first start by sharing the news that I’m going part-time at the day job, so I have an extra full day for writing, which I hope will assist in making at least some of these plans come to fruition. Events: I’m attending one event as an author this year, and that’s Books On The Beach in Blackpool on 22 August 2020. To find out more, here’s the…

    Season’s Greetings!

So here we are, about to celebrate Christmas and the end of another year. I don’t know about you, but I’ve reached that age where time seems to speed up, with the result that January happened about five minutes ago. I’m not a winter person. Snow is something best viewed through a window, although we seldom get any where I live. When we do get it, it rarely lasts long. What I do like about Christmas, though, is that it comes only a few days after the Winter Solstice, so on Christmas Day, I find comfort in the thought that the days are getting longer at last, no matter what…

    Passion’s Last Promise – a male submissive

I’ve debated writing this post for a while, but observing apparent patterns of purchasing behaviour when it comes to the Club Aegis books, I decided to take the plunge and put fingers to keyboard now. First of all, let me say I am massively grateful to each and every reader who’s bought a book or chosen to read it through Kindle Unlimited – thank you so much. For anyone who doesn’t know, the Club Aegis of the series title is  a fictional BDSM club, where the members are current or former members of the British armed forces, or intelligence or emergency services. And in common with probably the majority of BDSM-related stories,…

    Works in Progress – 21 March 2019

And yes, I do mean Works, plural. I have a butterfly mind, especially when I hit “Publish” on a book—or, as is the case with Charity’s Heart, it goes live in the care of another publisher—and after the event, I have to decide what I’m going to work on next. That used to be relatively easy. Choices, choices. I now have two series on the go, but it doesn’t stop there.  Back when I wrote my first book, I used to wonder where the next idea would come from, but now, like many, if not most, authors, I have so many ideas buzzing around my head, it’s difficult to know where to…

    British English v American English

There’s a saying, attributed to various sources, that Britain and America are two countries divided by a common language. Regardless of the source, it’s certainly true that they’re divided by certain spellings! For those of you who’ve read one or more of my Club Aegis books and then gone on to read Charity’s Heart (Spectrum Security Inc. #1), you may have noticed that the Club Aegis books  are written in British English, but Charity’s Heart is written in American English, as will the books yet to be written in the series. You may be wondering why. I am more than happy to explain. The Club Aegis books feature predominantly British characters, usually in British locations which is…

    A New Book

If you’ve found me on Facebook, you may have seen me refer to a secret project over the last few months. Well, the secret is now out! The secret project is a crossover story linking my Club Aegis series to characters in worlds created by the wonderful author Susan Stoker. If you like military romance and you haven’t discovered her yet, you’re in for a treat. You can find details of the treasure trove of her books on her website. Charity’s Heart is the first book in a new series, focusing on Spectrum Security and its expansion in the US. It features characters from the Club Aegis series, but they…

    Happy New Year!

As I’m writing this post, it’s New Year’s Eve, and in a few more hours, we’ll be welcoming in 2019 – I hope it brings you health and happiness, and success in everything you do. I last published a book in July 2018, which seems an awfully long time ago now. That was No Going Back, the 6th book in my Club Aegis series. I did make a start on the next book in the series – there’ll be 9 books in all – but I put that project on the back burner while I started work on a new project. I can’t say too much just yet, but the…
