Boltcutters and BDSM…

Hot on the heels of Passion’s Last Promise, the latest addition to the Club Aegis series, I am happy to announce the release of Ask Me, a short read of just under 20k words.

I wrote this story for a boxed set of BDSM-themed romances. Unfortunately, the set isn’t going to be published now, which is why it’s ready so quickly after the latest Club Aegis story.

Elements of this story take their inspiration from my trip to the BDSM Writers Con in New York in 2015—the incident with the suitcase, for example. Yes, that happened to me—not once, but twice.

With about 40 minutes until the car arrived to take me to my departure airport at the start of the trip, I found that the lock on one of my two cases jammed. I don’t have boltcutters. I do have kitchen knives, so I sliced around the zip, and threw most of the case contents into a smaller case. I then checked the lock on the other suitcase—no problem, it worked fine.

It was a lovely, sunny drive to the airport. When I arrived, I decided to put my jacket in the larger suitcase, so I’d have one item fewer to carry.

The lock had jammed.

And that’s how I know that, if you ask nicely, when you get to your New York hotel at around 11pm, the wonderful receptionist will send a rather amused maintenance man up to your room, armed with an impressive set of…

…boltcutters.
